Because this site is a personal portfolio, we do not intentionally collect personally identifying information from visitors — unless you voluntarily provide it (for example, by sending an email through the contact link) or when analytics cookies are enabled as described below.
- Contact information you provide. If you contact us (email, messenger links), we may collect the information you submit such as your name, email address, and message content to respond to your inquiry.
- Technical/usage data. Standard technical information (for example, IP address, browser type, device type, referral URL, and access timestamps) may be logged automatically by the hosting provider (Netlify) or, when analytics is active, by Google Analytics. This data is used for site operation, debugging, security, and understanding how visitors use the Site.
- Analytics data. When Google Analytics is enabled, we may collect aggregated usage metrics such as pages viewed, approximate location (country/city level), device/browser information, referral source, and engagement events (for example, clicks on contact links).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use personally submitted contact information only to reply to your message or request. We use analytics data only to measure traffic, improve the Site, and understand which content is useful. We will not sell your information to third parties or use it for advertising profiling on this Site.
3. Cookies & Third‑Party Services
The Site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google LLC ("Google"), when a measurement ID is configured. Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors navigate the Site (page views, traffic sources, and similar metrics).
- Cookies / storage. GA4 may set or read cookies and similar identifiers (for example,
_ga,_ga_*) on your device to distinguish sessions and returning visitors. These are used for analytics, not for serving ads on this Site. - Purpose. Measure audience size and engagement, diagnose technical issues, and improve content and usability.
- IP handling.Google Analytics 4 does not log full IP addresses in standard reports; IP data used for geolocation is truncated/anonymized by Google as part of GA4's processing. We do not use analytics data to identify you personally.
- Data processor.Data collected via Google Analytics is processed by Google in accordance with Google Analytics Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy. Google may process data on servers outside your country (including the United States). See Google Privacy Policy.
- Consent.Where required by law (for example, in the EEA/UK), analytics cookies should only run after you give consent. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Hosting and delivery of the Site may involve standard technical logs and cookies required for security and performance (for example, CDN/hosting infrastructure). Those are not used for advertising.
4. Data Retention
Any personal data you submit (name, email, message) will be retained only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and then deleted or anonymized, unless you ask us to keep it longer. Hosting technical logs — if stored — will be kept for a reasonable period for site maintenance and security.
Google Analytics retention follows the retention period configured in our Google Analytics property (typically up to 14 months for event-level data, unless changed). Aggregated reports may be retained longer. You may request deletion of analytics data associated with your identifiers by contacting us or via Google's tools where available.
5. Your Rights
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the UK, you may have certain rights under local law, including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
6. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect data we control. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of the information you submit.
7. Children
The Site is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.
